Oscar M. Gutierrez currently holds the position of Managing Director at Freepoint Eco-Systems LLC. He is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and operations of Freepoint Commodities’ circular economy business for plastics in Europe, Asia, and other markets outside the US. With an extensive career in finance and commodities industries, Mr. Gutierrez brings nearly 20 years of experience in sourcing, developing, acquiring, financing, and scaling assets in commodity infrastructure, commodity trading, and natural resources industries. Prior to joining Freepoint Commodities, he served as the head of origination and principal investments for the oil business at Castleton Commodities International. Mr. Gutierrez spent a decade at Morgan Stanley, where he held various roles in commodities, private equity, and investment banking divisions. He has a successful track record in completing business transactions across North America, Western Europe, and Latin America. Mr. Gutierrez holds a joint master’s degree from Telecom Paris and Paris Dauphine University, as well as an MBA from Columbia Business School.
